Temporary Shelter

This is a heart-wrenching project meant to provide further education about the many thousands of churches and synagogues that provide shelters to the homeless. This project will be a hut, that has in-scripted on the walls, stories of the homeless of New York city who have been saved by churches and local outreach ministries. The hut will be like a Sukkah which is a hut built for purposes in a Jewish week long celebration. The outside of the walls are going to be made from fiber pieces of material made by children in homeless shelters. On the roof there will be a list of names of homeless who lost their lives in a shelter environment. I’ve been reaching out to the homeless since 1998 as far as I can remember so this project touched my heart.
